My name is Khatera Anwari, and I am the founder and manager of Bano Anwari and Hijran Handicrafts Company, based in Sheberghan, Jawzjan Province, Afghanistan. I have experience in education, working with women, social activities, and handicrafts.

I have pursued my education in fields related to Law and Social Sciences, and I am currently studying Economics online. Alongside my studies, I have worked for several years in education, consulting, women’s empowerment, and handicraft-related activities.

I have more than five years of experience in handicrafts management and production. I have worked with women and girls to provide training in sewing, embroidery, Khamak embroidery, beadwork, and other traditional handicraft skills. I also have extensive experience in educational and social activities.

I founded Bano Anwari and Hijran Handicrafts Company with the aim of preserving Afghanistan’s traditional arts and handicrafts, creating employment opportunities for women and girls, and supporting families in generating sustainable income. The company focuses on producing handmade products as well as traditional and modern Afghan clothing.

Our products include Afghan Kond clothing, traditional and modern women’s clothing, handmade garments, embroidery, Ghalamkar and decorative embroidery, beadwork, Khamak embroidery, needlework, and other handmade handicraft products.

Currently, the company operates with a small team. In addition to providing employment opportunities, we also offer training and internship opportunities for girls and women to develop their skills and gain practical experience.

My main goal is to expand the company, develop markets for Afghan handmade products, preserve the country’s traditional arts and crafts, and create sustainable opportunities for employment, training, and income generation for women and girls.
