My name is Haida Atish, daughter of Abdul Aziz. I live in Qala-e-Naw, Badghis Province, and I hold a bachelor’s degree in Education. I currently live with my husband and our three children.
Since 2020, I have been actively involved in business with the aim of creating job opportunities for women and building a stable and independent source of income. In the same year, I established my own workshop specializing in Khamakembroidery. I now serve as the head of the Elham Khamak Embroidery Workshop.
With several years of experience in this field, my workshop has become one of the well-known centers for producing high-quality handicrafts in Badghis. At present, 20 women work with us—both from home and inside the workshop—creating beautiful and high-quality handmade products.
And other traditional handmade khamak-embroidery items
My goal is to expand the workshop, create more job opportunities for women in Badghis, preserve the authentic art of khamak embroidery, and introduce our high-quality local products to national and international markets.
