Vendor Biography

We started producing handicrafts in 2016, as I realized that Bamyan is a touristic province where both domestic and international tourists visit throughout the year. Since I personally had excellent skills in creating and designing handicrafts and tailoring, and also because Bamyan women have a historical background in producing handicrafts, these existing talents inspired me to promote handicraft production and create job opportunities for unemployed and poor women. I officially registered the Bamyan Women’s Trust Handicraft Social and Commercial Association and began my work in the art bazaar with a single sewing machine and a small amount of money I had. I have been engaged in this work ever since and I am very satisfied with it, as it has allowed me to serve both my family and underprivileged women.

Our products are entirely handmade and of excellent quality. We incorporate traditional designs into modern models, and the designs and colors of our products are authentic, culturally inspired, and unique. Each product is made with a specific story and name.
