Vendor Biography

My name is Gulsom Moradi, and I live in Mazar-e-Sharif, Balkh Province, Afghanistan. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and have over 10 years of experience in tailoring and designing traditional Afghan clothing.

In addition to my work in fashion design, I have more than 6 years of professional experience in the social sector, particularly in surveying and data collection, working with national and international organizations. I am also skilled in using data collection systems such as Kobo.

I launched my business in 2015 with the goal of empowering women, creating job opportunities, and promoting the rich art and culture of Afghanistan. My brand, Guly Design, specializes in:

• Designing and producing Afghan traditional clothing

• Handmade embroidered jewelry

• Afghan decorative curtains

• Decorative mirrors

Alongside production, I also provide sewing training in my workshop, where several women are currently working with me.

My mission is to further expand my business, introduce authentic Afghan products to larger markets, and create more opportunities to support and empower women.
