Vendor Biography

Zahra Fazeli graduated from Grade 12 at Malika Jalali High School. She started working in weaving and handicrafts in 2011. Her strong interest in handmade and artistic work motivated her to enter this field.

For the first five years, she worked independently. During this time, many women and girls came to her to learn weaving. In response to their interest, she started providing training in 2016. Since then, she has trained many women and girls in weaving and handicrafts. In recent years, some of her students and colleagues have migrated or gotten married, which has reduced the number of active workers. Today, the workshop continues its activities with a team of eight employees.

Zahra Fazeli and her team design and produce handmade macramé products. Their products include bags, bride and groom bath loofahs, wastebaskets, and tissue box covers. These products are handmade by the team using macramé cord, with care and attention to detail. They are high quality, washable, durable, and have good capacity. The products are available in different designs and colors and are both beautiful and practical for everyday use.

Zahra Fazeli’s main goal is to create employment opportunities for women, support the economic well-being of her family and employees, and provide women with opportunities to earn an income through handicraft skills. This work also provides a valuable opportunity for girls and women who, for different reasons, have been unable to continue their education to learn a practical skill and earn an income from it.

She hopes to expand this work, preserve and promote traditional handicrafts, create more employment opportunities for women, and contribute to their economic empowerment and the well-being of their families.
