Marghoob is the beauty brand of Peshraft Zanan which means Women Empowerment, a private company based in Kabul, Afghanistan. The company started its operation as a small, family and women-owned business under the visionary leadership of Ms. Marghuba Safi in 2016.
Ms. Marghuba Safi has studied English literature at Kabul University. She attended several training programs in the field of leadership and management, agriculture, life skills development, and soap making in Afghanistan and in the international organization. Moreover, she has more than five years of experience, and she has a great talent in the field of skincare and cosmetic production.
The company aims to create significant opportunities in terms of women’s employment, economic empowerment, and the advancement of women’s lives in the community. Peshraft Zanan works closely with local women in the community to improve their abilities and life skills. The company labeled and packaged the products which are currently being marketed in the domestic market in Kabul, Afghanistan.
The team consists of twenty people both male and female, including managers, workers in various sectors of the company, and farmers who supply the company with several types of flowers that are used in the production as a natural raw material.
The objective of the company is to promote the Afghan Handmade product in local and International markets. The company has also tried to support drug-addicted Afghan women to have a chance in life and rebuild their life independently. It has successfully conducted training for 200 rehabbed addicted women and attempted to teach them to start their own businesses, and recruited some of them into the company. It uses and supplies the best quality handmade raw material majorly from Afghanistan.
MARGHOOB SOAPS are ideal nourishment for the skin, a line designed for the specificity of each type of skin and made according to the ‘cold craft method’, which preserves the active ingredients the heat of a ‘hot method’ could alter.
The soaps are made from the unique encounter of natural oils (olive, coconut, almond, sunflower, corn, palm, beeswax) and top-quality botanical products (cumin, saffron, lavender, turmeric, aloe vera, cucumber, marigold, rose).
