Vendor Biography

I, Faegah Sadat, am from Herat Province, Afghanistan (District 6) and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Ghalib University. I live with my parents and have always had a strong passion for the art of tailoring since my teenage years. To enhance my professional skills, I completed three years of specialized tailoring courses in Iran. After returning to Afghanistan, with the purpose of creating employment opportunities for women and supporting their economic empowerment, I established my own production workshop.

I founded the Reyhan Production Workshop in Herat, District 3 – Bakarabad – Fekri Seljooqi Street 20 – No. 19, to provide a suitable environment for women to receive training and engage in productive work. With four years of professional experience in garment production, I have successfully trained and graduated two cohorts of students in fine tailoring, thick tailoring, and fashion design, awarding them valid certificates. Additionally, I organized a basic tailoring training course specifically for underprivileged women to support their path toward financial independence.

As an active member of the Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Western Zone, I currently work alongside 15 women in this workshop. Together, we produce various types of clothing, including evening dresses, casual wear, children’s clothing, coats and trousers, uniforms, and other apparel products.

My vision is to expand this production activity, achieve a prominent position in the country’s garment industry, and create greater opportunities for women—especially those deprived of education—to achieve economic empowerment and play an effective role in the development and progress of our society.
