My name is Sadeqa Sadeqyar, founder and president of Sadeqyar Food Processing and Packaging Company, and I live in Herat province.

Education

I hold a Master’s degree in Fiqh and Quranic Sciences from the Islamic Azad University of Iran.

Family

I live with my family, which includes my husband and my five children.

Work Experience

Although business was in my blood and heritage since my father was a trader, I started my independent social, cultural, and business activities in 2014 as the Deputy of the Afghan Women’s Union in Herat province. In 2015, I was elected as the Head of the Women’s Community Council of Gozar 14, District 6 of Herat, by the votes of local women.

Since 2017, I have been an active member of the Western Zone Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where I also established Sadeqyar Sisters Jewelry Company.

In 2018, to provide more services to my community, I founded the Danesh Rooz Educational Center, which is still active today.

In 2021, due to my significant contributions, I was appointed as the of Communications Assistant of the Western Zone Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry , a position I continue to hold.

Additionally, in 2018, I founded the Sadeqyar Food Processing and Packaging Company in the food sector in Herat province.

Why and When Did You Start This Business?

Around seven years ago, I established the Sadeqyar Food Processing and Packaging Company with the aim of implementing my creative and innovative ideas, becoming an independent and successful businesswoman, and playing an active role in the economy of Afghanistan, particularly in Herat.

Products

As the name of my company indicates, our main focus is the production, processing, and packaging of various food products in a standardized manner. Our special products include:

•Different types of fruit chips

•A variety of fruit-based herbal teas

•Sesame Seed Candy (Halwa Konjedi)

Employees

In total, our company employs 10 permanent and temporary staff members, of which 70% are women.

Goal

Our vision at Sadeqyar Food Processing and Packaging Company is to become a recognized and trusted brand in the food processing and packaging sector at both national and regional levels within the next 10 years.
